When sighting in my Remington 1100 today the gun failed to fire a couple of times. There was an indentation on the shell's primer and when I reloaded the same shell it would fire. I'm assuming the firing pin hitting the primer hard enough. Is there a way to adjust the firing pin and if so is there a set of instructions for doing so? I didn't find anything in the manual.

That's probably not something you should attempt. I would take it your gunsmith and explain the problem, he will know what to do.
