Military surplus rifles

RE: Military surplus rifles
AIM is good, I've ordered from them several times without any problems. They mostly sell stuff imported by Century, but they are much easier to deal with than Century.

RE: Military surplus rifles
I would recommend to check out Swedish Mausers as well as the Swiss rifles. Both are finely made weapons. I haven't been checking prices like I used to but I know the Swiss rifles have been fairly prevalent and available. I'm not sure of the price in my area let alone yours. I do know that the last time I checked on the prices for the Swedish rifles I was shocked by how much they had gone up. But I still think you could find a nice one for under the $200.00 mark you set, and for close to $200.00 you may be able to find one with nearly all (if not all) matching #'s.
The Swedish round (6.5 X 55) is loaded by quite a few companies in both hunting round and FMJ. I know that brass is also avialble from several companies.
I'm partial to the Swede's but my brother bought a Swiss rifle a couple years ago and I was very impressed by the workmanship.

8mm has got it right the model 96 swede in 6.5X55 is one of the best rifle made and will out shoot most in not all rifle made today. they cost without matching numbers about $300,00 with matching ( and they are getting hard to find ) $400.00 to $450.00 and they are worth every penny. I have one the is complete customzed that will cut a clover leaf at 150 yard all day long.

Wow. The Swedes have really gone up! That puts them out of Aggiehunter's reach since he said he wants to stay under $200.00
While doing a little surfing I found that you can still buy some 98 style Mausers for a decent price, and saw the Ishapores in 308. I actually have one of those 2A's but have always wanted an enfield in the original 303. The 308 is sure easier to buy for though.

Briman,
Do you have a pic of this rifle? Enfields- AIM surplus is selling Ishapore 2A enfields right now. The neat thing about them is that they are chambered in .308.
How much do they run?
Thanks
Tom
