How do the scope makers know what gun or loads you are going to shoot,in order to set the standards for height and windage adjustments? Do the ever hold true ? If so,I have yet to really see it ,in a scope that a normal income person can afford.

The adjustment moves the crosshairs 1/4" at 100 yards for every click. This has nothing to do with the cartridge you are using. If the point of impact does not move 1/4" as advertised then you have a problem with the scope. In any quality scope the adjustments will be as advertised.

mm,stubblejumper is right about he scope adjustments and you are right about "normal" income scope adjustments 1/4" at 100 yards! It's true what they say "you get what you pay for",the more you spend on a scope the more accurate the adjustments are...
