Default Scope Tracking Problems

I have a new Nikon Monarch 2-7 x 32 scope on my Browning A-Bolt 300wsm. I have shot about 50 rounds through the gun. The gun shoots 1" groups @ 100yds but I am having problems with scope adjustments.

If I adjut the elevation 3 clicks at 100 yards it adjusts the point of imapact about 1-1/2 inches as opposed to 3/4 ofan inch. I am confident that I was holding steady and the shots wheir good. However the windage seems to adjust properly.

Any thoughts on this. Is it just me or could it be the scope.

not all scopes have a 1/4" moa adjustmet, check the adjustment knobs and see if it has the 1/2" adjustments.

Hurry up and wait.

Is there stress on the Scope tube ? Did you center the adjustments before mounting the scope if that is necessary. If this is Ok you may want to send the scope back to Nikon...else take it to a reputable gunsmith and have him check out the scope mounting.

I am useing Leupold dual dove tail mounts. I put them on and squared everyting up as good as I could. When I set the scope in it sat in the rings real good and I tigtened every screw down a little at a time so as not to torqe it to one side or end.

It shoots good so I am going to leave it till after the gun season.

Thanks for the help.
