Even an old wingshooter like me would have a tough time hitting birds with a .243. I don't understand why Remington ever would have chambered a shotgun for that round...

Who said the pump was an abomination?! Shame, shame shame! I'll take my 7600 in 30-06, or my brohter's in .270, and put up against any of ya'lls stock bolt guns for group shooting any day! Well, any takers? Seriously though, if that ruger is a mark11 I wouldn't want it at all, If it's a mark1, then I might would think about it pretty hard, especially if I preferred a bolt gun.
