I went to the range to sight in my mossberg 695 bolt action slug gun AGAIN. My newly rebuilt tasco world class rifle scope could not handle the recoil again. The cross hairs fell right off. With gun season less than 8 days away I need to get a scope. No time to send it back AGAIN. One that comes with instructions so I can put it on myself anyone have any suggestions, help!! Oh yeah the gun shops close before I get out of work. I will likely order it form cabelas.

i agree with the leopold slug scope. they make a great shotgun/muzzleloader scope. other good options are the weaver slug scope and burris scout scope. shop around a little and you should find some good deals.... here's two links where i find great prices on scopes...

I have an old steel tube Weaver K 2.5X with long eye relief on my Ithaca M37 Deerslayer, which is a pretty light gun with a lot of recoil. It works great!!

I have a Bushnell 1.5- 4.5 x 32 Sprtsman Shotgun scope on my winchester 1300. I have been using if for 2 years now without any problems. It even does a pretty good job at low light.
