#11
i just harvested my biggest buck to date with my weatherby .300 vanguard at 350 yards. best rifle i ever shot and i will probally never buy another brand. it is in my opinion, well worth the money.

I own a 308 stainless, the "fully adjustable" trigger is terrible, I replaced it with a timney and dropped it into a bell and carlson stock (the butler creek stock was fine I just don't like an injected stock) and the thing shoots, but then so does my 20 year old 308 howa (both made by the same company) if I was going to do it again I would go with a tikka but I've got this one fixed up so here I'll stay.

After hearing such great things about the Vangaurd I bought one in .308. I already had a 7mm08 in a Remington 700 classic that shot real good. I had to sell a rifle off to pay some unexpected medical bills(I knownever sell your guns) and the Vangaurd was the one to go. I wasn't all that impressed with the rifle overall. The thing shot OK, but the trigger was terrible and the stock was cheap. The Remington was more accurate and much better to look at.

Well, I bought a Weatherby Vanguard Synthetic in 30-06 about a month ago now and I absolutely love the thing to death. It even brought down my very first ever pig this last sunday (December 4th). It shoots great, nice trigger, awesome gun!
