AR-15 Front Sight Turner
#2
The front sight shouldn't need to be turned at all. They are either pinned to the barrel or use two screws to do the same thing. Remove the pins or screws and it will slide off the front of the barrel. Assuming there is not muzzle brake on the end.

My AR-15 has a pin that you push down and then the front site will turn. It is a real pain the arse. So I would like to buy a front site turner so that I can turn it easier. Many of the site turners also have rear sight turner too.
Thanks

I made one a number of years ago out of a set of hemostats. Used the smooth jaw ones and cut a "V" in them with a 1/16" end mill. You lock the hemo's on the sight post and then hold the retaining pin down with a small punch while you turn the post. Real easy.

check with a military store,or ranger joes.ask for the front sitewrench for the m-16, it will work on both, i've always used a nail. (just push the pin down and around).uncle sam wouldn't issue it.
