last time I saw 30-378 factory stuff was in the $70-90 range........I think Id stick with the $40-50 stuff

man, youve been on this forum long enough to know that hell somebody could ask which 22 to get and somebodies gotta chime in with "I think you should get a 270, 30-06, etc. Its just the nature of the beast. Everybody thinks the gun they shoot is what everybody else should get. Unless they are like you and me, and pretty much just buy em all

Actually,although I have owned or fireda great many cartridges and rifle models,I currently only hunt with two cartridges the 7mmstw and the 300ultramag.However,I rarely recommend either of these cartridges when asked.My usual recommendation is for the 7mmremmag because I believe it is far more suitable for most hunters for use on game from pronghorns to deer,to moose to elk.
