Just wondering how good nonremington replacement barrels are?(hastings, ithaca, etc.) are they just as accurate? how is the finish?

I have a 26" Hastings vent rib. Finish is better than the factory barrel the came on the gun. My only complaint is that you have to use Hastings chokes you can't use the remchokes.

Better than the factory barrels in my opinion. My buddy just ordered one from remington and I'm not that impressed for the money. It shoots well though.

I looked at a mossberg cantilever for the 870 and it looked like it was built better for half the money. I don't think you could go wrong with a hastings at all.

I have a Hastings cantilever on mine - you really can't go wrong with one of those.
