44 mag bullet choice?

I have 240 Hornady XTP, or 270 gold dot soft points? Both shoot extremelywell in my gun, Ruger SBH. I will be deer hunting, inwooded terrain, shots maybe out to 75 yds at best, but 99% most likely under 40 yds. It probably doesn't matter which bullet huh?

At 40 to 50yds, I'm sure you're going to hit it! I prefer to use a Hunting bullet than a Self-Defense bullet. There's a difference!
