Franchi AL 48 20 ga

RE: Franchi AL 48 20 ga
I have a 20 gauge with an English stock and 23" barrel. It's really light to carry while chasing wild runnin' bobs in big country, but it's not my favorite gun. I swear I can tell the barrel is recoiling and it bothers me some.
I've owned a bunch of Franchis over the years and still have 3. I have not had any mechanical problems with any of them. I have a dozen or more shotguns and obviously don't shoot them all a lot. While I do like the little 48 Al, it spends more time in the safe than in the truck.
What were you intending to do with it and what configuration?

I've also got one in 12ga. and it's been a good gun. No mechanical problems at all. Did get a little rough with it while duck hunting and broke the stock but that wasn't the gun's fault. I'd like to get a new stock for it but don't know where to order the parts.
Lately I've been shooting my SBE so the Franchi hasn't been seeing much hunting time.

Blueditch, You might want to visit that site as well so you can look at the various models. I like the V620 better than the AL. It has the same rotary bolt locking system as the Benellis. I have an upgraded one and it has Benelli as well as Franchi stamped on the receiver. It's quite a bit cheaper than the Benelli.
It definitely cycles fast and I've never had a malfunction. It's gas operated, so a little softer shooting than the recoil-operated AL and you don't have that annoying barrel movement.
Both Benelli and Franchi are now owned by Beretta. All quality guns, but the Franchis are priced a little lower.
