Scope problems?
Ok i decided to put a scope on my shotgun(mossberg 500 pump), And had it bore sighted at a gun shop and the guy said it would'nt come in? So i took it to a local gun range and started at 25 yards and was on paper just high and too the right of the bullseye, so do i chase the bullet buy clicking it to the right? and do i want it right on at 25 yards or what? most of my shots will be around 70 yards max>>>

RE: Scope problems?
turn the adjustments the way you want the bullet to go. in your case turn it down and to the left. as for the 25 yard zero that would be close i would think for that heavy of a bullet. the 25 yard mark would be the first time threw your crosshair andi'm guessing it should drop back threw around a 100 yards. i've never shot slugs to much so the second zero is just a guess but i bet it is close. i'm sure someone else on here that shoots slugs will have the numbers closer for you.

The elevation knob should have an arrow and a "U" or a "D". This means if you turn the knob in the direction shown as "D" the bullet point of impact will move DOWN. The windage knob should have an arrow showing which direction to turn it to get the slug to move "R" or "L".
Make your changes so that your slug strikes exactly on the point of aim at 25 yards. Then put your target out at 50 yards, and zero the gun again to put your slug about 2" high at that range. You now will be no higher than 2" at 75 yards, and pretty close to dead on at 100 yards.
