Can anybody reccomend a good box of factory shells in .300 win mag? I'm using the gun strictly for whitetails, and i'm mainly worried about avoiding a bullet thats gonna go through w/out expansion, since a whitetail is fairly thin skinned. Really just need something thats not gonna overpenetrate. Thinking maybe about Winchester Ballistic SilverTips.

I think that would be an excellent choice,if you get them let me know what kind of groups you get.

Try something in the 165gr weight with a ballistic tip or sst bullet and you will get good expansion.Try a few different loads and use the one that shoots best in your gun.

I have a rem 700 and mine likes federal premium 180 gr ballistic tips they shoot really well in my gun and do a good job on deer i havnt had very good luck with the silvertips but they may shoot well in your rifle
