Default Scope Mounts ?

What size bases do I want? (high, med, low and Brand)

I ordered my Monarch 2-7 x 32 scope today. I am putting it on my 300wsm Browning A-Bolt.

It depends upon the brand/style of bases and rings. I'm not a big fan of the Redfield/Leupold style bases and rings with the back rear adjustment. I prefer a Weaver style system with steel split rings. The Burris and Millet rings have worked well for me. The low rings would most likely work.

This page will tell you what rings and bases you'd need in the Burris.

I use only leupold bases and would stay away from any mounts that are not all steel such as the weavers. The medium leupold rings fit my swarovski 3x10 by 42's so they will surely fit your scope. You will probably even get by with low rings.
Greg with 7mm-The 7mm mag and 300ultramag use the same action and therefore the same 1 piece base will fit both.

I like Leupold Dual Dove Tail Mounts. You can call Leupold 503-646-9171 or www.leupold.com , and tell them you want to use their mounts with a 32mm objective scope on a 300wsm Browning A-Bolt, and you need to know what height of rings you need. Good luck.

UPnorth... for a scope with that small an objective you can order ultra low mounts from Leupold...call their customer service and get the part number just don't tell them its for a Nikon scope but the dimensions on it are similiar enough to the Leupold 2x7x33 VXII...some catalog store don't list it at all. I would go with regular 2 pc STD mounts or even better would be dual dovetail. The scope will be mounted close to the reciever and that is the ultimate goal. Burris signature rings are great but the last time I looked the lowest they had was a medium ring.
