Ditto - Ditto on that elde.
You can buy 12 ga sabots for well under $10 bucks.
Down the road you might want to play with the shoulder bustin hybrids.
Lets do some quick math;
How many shots does it take to put down a deer.Answer UNO or ONE or 1.
How many deer do you take in a season - 2 - 3 - 4.
After sighting in gun,2 boxes of sabots should last at least 2 years!
With "B" (Rifled with Cant barrel)your also getting the advantage of accuracy to at least 125-150 yrds.

Alot of guys around here swear by a 20 ga for deer size game. Always wanted one.I found one and bought it. A real nice used H&R 20 ga. Gun shop I bought it from assured me it should be good out to 180 yrds. I take the mans word on everthing. I scoped it and can't wait to test at range!
If your stuck using shotgun for deer - GO With B - B - B. I swear on my momma you won't be sorry!
Just do it - spend the bucks - use it - fire it - and come back and thank everybody for there infinite wisdom.
