I think the way that bullet performed for you was excellent. However, I personally would use a NoslerPartition or Accubond in either 180 or preferrably 200 grain weight. At .30/'06 velocities, you are more likely to get a complete pass-thru than you would with a big magnum-higher velocities often produce LESS penetration on heavy game.
