Default Handi Rifle Questions

I am just about to put a .243 ultra light youth model on lay a way for my sons christmas gift. I have never had experience with this gun before so any info would be appreciated.
Is it true that I can add all of their rifle, shot gun and muzzel loader barrels? I would also like to make sure that I can get the longer stock as he grows.
I have heard that they are fairly accurate rifles, does anyone have person experience with them.
I am also wondering how the recoil of the .243 handi rifle is compared to other rifles.
Thankyou

There are some two barrel combos available but the barrels must be fitted at the factory if you want to add more calibers other than what they came with . I have a 45-70,223 rem and have considered buying a couple more .The accuracy is good on both of them . They do have tech support if you need it to answer your questions about the stock availability.

I shoot a 223 Handi-Rifle. The accuracy was OK out of the box, but I had the trigger re-worked and floated the barrel. Then I put a good scope on it, and now it will shoot sub 1" groups at 100yds all day long..If I do my part.

My buddy shoots chucks with a Handi-Rifle in 243. I've shot it and the recoil isn't bad. It's real similar to all other 243's I've shot...

Good luck!

Howdy! Just wanted to pass some info along about the NEF Handi-Rifle.

I personally own 4 of these rifles and as stated the trigger pull was fairly heavy on them out of the box. That is a problem that can be easily taken care of. With the exception of the trigger, those little guns are darn near tack drivers, and that can also be improved if needed.

Got a couple of websites for you to check out:

hr1871.com This is the homepage lots of info on what they have to offer, etc.

[email protected] This is a talk forum and you can ask or share just about any topic on the Handi-Rifle.

Hope this helps!

I have one in the 22 hornet, and i think it will drive a tack
but you best check into what barrels will fit the 243 they are
limited to the smaller calibers, same as the hornet is..but they are
the best littlr gun for the money you can buy, when you get the rifle
new it should have a list of the replacement barrels..hope i helped....

Thanks for all the help guys,
I called the company and they called me back this afternoon. I have been assured by the company that since the gun has the SB2 receiver I can fit any rifle shot gun or muzzel loader barrel and later on I can also switch out to an adult size stock.
Sounds like a heck of a good deal!!
