Well, I did finally take it out and sight it in. What an amazing shooter for 199! I am not a particularly good shot but I could easily keep a 3 shot 3 inch group at 200 yards in the prone position. I simply couldnt believe it! I have the cheapest scope in the world on it, but I think that will change. Anyway, amazing accureacy and the strange thing is that It has more recoil than I expected. Not alot, but more than the 223 I shot had. The trigger is awesome out of the box! I think I could hunt with this one! It feels and fits great.ring in if you have hunted with these rifles. EJ

I think I will be getting one in .223 for my new coyote and woodchuck rifle.

Handi is a 06 and will but 3 shots just under 7/8" at the 100 yard target with hand loads what a gun for the money

Yeah, I am sooo impressed with it. I actually like it a little better than my 700 ADL. Nuthin against the ADL, but these are way cool for the money! I think I might hunt with it. EJ

I am seriously considereing purchasing one in either 243 or 223. i guess it would really make me have to take the one shot one kill seriously when hunting coyotes.

Yeah, it will train you to choose wisely. Something we should all be doing anyway. It has my vote! EJ

I hunt with a .243 but not an NEF. I do have an NEF in .22 Hornet though. It's a vicious little round. Took a small hog with it about a month ago, behind the shoulder shot and he dropped.
I,m glad you like the .243, it is one of the most accurate guns out of the box with factory ammo. little recoil with a big punch. after years and years of using mine my cofidence in it is extreme. I put the cross hairs where I want and squeeeeeeeeze. Boom !it's always right on the money. I have taken axis deer out to 300 yds with it. Longest witail shot was about 250, took a big 'ol boar at about 225 yds with a complete pass through. It's one awsome round, I love it.

Well, I might just take it for whitetail this fall in oklahoma. It cant wait to shoot it again in a week or 2. Any ammo reccomendations? EJ
