I got a bolt and an auto. Killed my first deer with the 06 so of course I got a soft spot for it. Its a dandy.

and both former US military cartridges as well.....a good way to get a start but both making it nicely on their own merit.

The old Scotsman, when asked "Sir, is anything worn under your kilt?" replied "Nay, nay lassie. It's as good as it ever was!".

The same thing applies to the .30/'06. As a matter of fact, it is a much better cartridge these days, with our current powders and bullets......
