I would get a pump shotgun you can probablyfind a loner if it is just for one trip. If I were buying a gun for protetcion from grizzleys I would also make it useful for other purposes, since the chances of being charged by a grizzley are relatively remote.
My pick would be a Remington Model 7600 pump rifle in 35 Whelen. Accurate to 250 YDS and can cycle rounds faster than levers or bolt actionin up close and personal situations.
