I was wondering, what is about the average price one would pay for an M1 .30 cal carbine. The gun is used, and believed to be in good to very good condition. I haven't seen theit yet, so i dont even know the exact manufacturer or year of manufacture. My friend told me that thegun shootsgood and functions fine. I was quoted a price on this gun that i think is an UNBELIEVABLE value. Even if i dont like shooting it(yeah right), i'll be able to sell it and make double my money.
Also, what kind of accuracy can i expect at 50 and 100 yds. I 'm guessing about the same as the mini 14 without the .223 velocity. The last thing i need is a place to get cheap ammo, as i know ammo can run kinda pricey for these things. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

they run $300 to $450 as far as I know.
accuracy is about 3" at 50 yards
they are a fun to shoot gun for targeting and plinking and almost worthless as a hunting gun...coyote hunting is doable but range is limited.
Milsurp ammo is about dried up.....there used to be millions of rounds at a dime and less.....not easy to find today.

Higgs, Mi-Carbines were made by many machine compoanies during the WW11.
My buddy has one made by General Motors and I have one made by Allis Chambler.
Depends who made it, they are all in different price ranges. I have seen them made
by Singer Sewing Machine.
They make a good rabbit gun!

I know there have been several makers, but like i said havent seen the gun yet and my buddy didnt know the maker. The priceI was given was $150, so i think i'll go ahead and buy it anyway. That's a price that just cant be beat.

In the Knoxville area they start at $400 and go up from there I have seen them for $900. If you guy can get them for $300 to $400 brimg them to a Knoxville gun show and make some money. I would not give that much but a lot of people do.

a couple years ago i picked up a commercial m1 for only $350 or something like that. i ahd always wanted one so i got it. they sure are fun to shot. they're kinda like ak's and such. they don't have much of a practical purpose outside of killing people and just plain fun.
