I think I've read here before that modified choke works well with the rifled slugs, and I seem to remember a manufacturer's warning about not using anything tighter than a modified.
My Mossberg was a fixed cylinder choke, so I couldn't test the difference myself.

I shoot winchester rifled slugsout of my 870, very cheap and accurite. Get a couple different brands and see what works best for you, as others must have said.
