Guns Like firearms themselves, there's a wide variety of opinions on what's the best gun.

I agree. Anticipating recoil will throw your shot off. I can shoot my Winchester M70 or Rem M700 in 7mm Rem. Mag. with no problem because I know it's going to recoil (which I find not that bad) and can easily handle it as I "go with the flow".

I also found the felt recoil of my Winchester M54 in .30-06 (no rubber butt pad) greater than I do my7mm Mag.'s which haverubber butt pad's.
