why cant you buy recievers? i wanna get a stainless one.
Ruger will not sell just a receiver. Wouldn't do you any good anyways, as the recievers on thier "stainless" 10/22's are still aluminum - same as the blued ones just a different finish. Aftermarket 10/22 style recievers are available from Volquartsen and MOA corp. but you'll pay for them. I believe they're both in the $300+ range.

The reciever on firearms is normally considered 'the firearm' for purposes of serial number identification.

You can buy new rcvrs, but it means buying a new complete gun.

The simplest, cheapest way to improve the trigger on a 10/22 is to get the spring kit.
If you like to shooot very well, go for the whole kit. I had this work done on mine, and I love it. One other thing that makes a difference in shootablilty is adding an overtravel stop if the new trigger doesn't have one.

High Desert,

Is that easy to install? Does it require special tools?

Thanks
Tom
no special tools, just a steady hand and a little patience

Easy to install, but you will have to modify with a diamond rasp or something to acccomidate the safety switch. I have put a few on and none worked right off the bat. Let me tell ya, titanium is hard to take .002" off of.

HDW. Its just my way. I have bad luck. If there was 10 sets of power custom trigger sears, and we split them, I guarantee you, I would get 4 that had to be modified. And you would probably only haveto modify one.

But, I got to smile and say, "wouldn't have it any other way".
