Remington 700LSS Mtn. Rifle. I've got one in 270Win. Very accurate, light, well balanced. Trigger is readily adjustable too.

The remington 700 will be a much better investment. I had a tikka once and after about 500 rounds the magazene started to plumb fall out of the rifle. Which started to become a problem because when i was walking it fell out one day[:@] and i was never able to find it. The remington will be more solid durable and long lasting. as for accureacy the remington will be O.K.

I recently bought a Rem 700 Mtn LSS in 7MM-08. The trigger was easy to adjust and I did it myself, adjusteing it down to 3Lbs. From the beginning, I was planning to have it glass bedded and the barrel free floated..........turns out I didn't have to!!!! This gun is shooting 3/4" CTC 100 Yd groups with 140 game kings, 1 1/4" groups with 150 Grn Ballistic tips, and 1/2" groups with 140Grn Accubonds. Granted, the Rem 700 didn't come with an accuracy guarantee like the Tika...but looks like I didn't need it.

Dark lines = 1/2", Light lines = 1/4"

I also much preferred the look of the Mtn LSS wood colored laminated stock, compared to the grey laminate of the Tika laminated Stainless.

I have both and would for sure go with the tikka. Shorter bolt lift, much smoother action, great trigger out of the box, detachable mag, free rings and better balanced in my view. I have bought 3 t-3's in the last 2 years after looking at all others. I like my old remy adl but the tikka's are a better gun.

I've owned Remington 700's in the past and currently own two Tikkas. I wont buy another Remington, the Tikkas are excellent rifles.

I've never owned a Tikka, but have a bunch of Sako's - I'd get the Tikka.
