RE: $2000 to spend, but which rifle???
Listen don't listen to mossy. He' just jealous of my new 45-70. And he's mad cause he makes womens makeup for a living:D:D
If you had a barrel with tolerances of .0000001" it would be physically impossible to be able to screw it in the action. Mossy did this piece of machining work he showed me that was within .0001" and it was like a puzzle youput together. Once together youcouldn't pull it apart due to the tolerance. |

BC
I have oredered a Kirby Allen rifle in 270 Allen mag. In my humble opinion this young man is a real expert when it comes to ballistics and long range cartridges. The cartridge he had made up for the 270 Allen mag is a RBBT ULD with a ballistic coefficient of 700. His initial test was at 930yds and below you will see the results. I won't have my rifle until October but I'm betting it will be everything it's been advertised. If it's not, you can be sure everyone on here will hear about it. I'm trusting him. We'll see if I'm rewarded.:D ![]() |

RE: $2000 to spend, but which rifle???
BC,
I was just defending Kirby. He seems like a good guy. I'll assure you,I'll give a report on his rifles on way or another. All his customers rave about his rifles be they proprietary cartridges or something a little more standard. Uthunter, A Kirby Allen extreme sporter will run you 1850.00. I considered it a good price considering his standards. If the rifle is a dud, it's pretty steep. I'm betting this kid is genuine. BTW, BC congrats on the jon boat!:D |

I met Robbie Barkman? (Robar) at a SCI convention several years ago and I think he was a nice person, but I don't want to buy a rifle based on that.
