RE: $2000 to spend, but which rifle???

I met Robbie Barkman? (Robar) at a SCI convention several years ago and I think he was a nice person, but I don't want to buy a rifle based on that.
Most gunsmiths are a PITA to deal with that is for sure but having a great personality and being open and candid about their work should be a plus.

Grizzlyman,
Kirby having a candid, open, likable pesonality was not the only basis in choosing him as a gunsmith. Give me a little credit, I'm not running a personality contest, I'm buying a rifle. But it is better than dealing with a talented butthea#.;)

I don't know Swampman, most of the talented people I've known in my life were b*ttheads. They were good and they knew it. They were exceptional and didn't feel like they had to impress anyone. Of course when you are trying to sell your product, having a personality helps. ;)

GRIZZLYMAN,
You're absolutely correct. Kirby seems to be a talented nice guy, although the jury is still out on the talented part. He can sure talk the right stuff, now we'll see if he can back it up.
Most talented smith's I've met were arrogant butthe##s. I recently run across two that seem to be both personable and talented. Odd combo.:D
