Those snappers are far from fun to get hooks out of.
But! they do make some good stew!

I used to fish only bream, but am now getting back into bass, and caught a nice one at a local pond Saturday. I am excited about the coming summer and getting out all I can...

Not to burst your bubble, but you need to go get a digital scale. At best that skinny bass weighs 2.5 pounds. Most folks thinks they are bigger than they are. Invest in a good digital scale. It will educate you, as it did me.

Just the other day my brother and I were fishing and a snapper kept stealing our bait but finally we got the best of him. It hooked it self in the claw and it was anywhere near from fun to get out. Then it was running away on the dock when we got it out, it was crazy.

We had scales with us. We weighed each fish. I do a LOT of bass fishing and can estimate pretty dang well, however, I did not have to estimate that fish. Maybe the pic isn't that great, but that's a pretty nice fish.

I won't. I've been bass fishing a long time and even won a few tournys. I may not know much about much, but I know bass.
