I was wearing them out yesterday. 4 - 6 # bass all over this little pond. The one in the pic weighed about 4 1/2 or 5 #. Anyway, here is the story.
I am wearing them out all over the pond. NICE bass. And I get this feeling I'm going to land a lunker before too long and BAM my rod bends and the john boat is getting drug slowly around the pond. Man I am stoked. Well after about 10 min, I think "Something ain't right." So I keep fighting and finally get his old head up out of the water next to the boat. 10 # turtle!! [&o] I was heart broke. Now I had to get this monster off my hook!! That took another 20 min.
Anyway they were biting well yesterday. Bass and turtles!

Nice fish!! I killed em the other say here in Va. I had 3 or 4 over 5lbs and one that was about 8 1/2.

Congrats, nice fish! we went out yesterday and caught 15 or 16, all under 15 inches...big ones are spawning right now, and you can't see the beds in most spots because of the murky water.

Caught 7 yesterday but all under 2#.

Excellent bass. I got into a few yesterday. One on a plastic worm the rest on a shallow rapala lure.
