I was pitching a rubber worm into the reeds and working it slowly back to the boat. All of the hits have been about 10 feet off the shore in about 7 foot of water..One problem with pitching ..your left hand has line and your right hand alone has the rod..On the two I lost I saw my line move ..the fish sucked it up and were moving away sloowly
I should hve quickly reeled in the slack but instead tried to set the hook with my my right hand only .I forgot to drop the rod tip and quickly reel in the slack..All 3 bass were in the same general area..I got no other bites anywhere..WHile leaving I stirred up a coupe of big swirls around another area..I think they are at the pre spawn stage..If it's ok with my wife..I will be doing some more fishing this week.

We went today me and my step-dad and the water has really warmed up. We saw some fish chasing around bait. My step dad caught one with a spinner bait casting parallel to the bank with overhanging trees and hydrilla on the edge.
