Pictures From Where You Fish

I have a heck of a time believing that the Pike, or (jack?), is fourteen pounds. I've caught many and I've gottwo on the wall, both well over 40 inches, and the barely pushed 15 pounds.

well, buckhunter, unless our scale was out, that's what it said. It was a heavy fish. Maybe your pike (yes, jack) are long and skinny where you are.
Chuck, I wish I would of played him more, but it was kind of a windy day and I was worried that I hadn't hooked him very well, so, I just tried to get him in the boat as quickly as possible, which he didn't make easy. once he was in the boat, we realized that he wasn't going anywhere. that hook was in there good.

Never said anything about competition. I just like to learn as much about fish as possible, and to me part of that is length and weight of a fish.

I love to fish, just getting out on the boat, or fishing off shore. even if they aren't biting. spotting the wildlife coming down to the water is always a treat. One time we had a spotted a moose in the water, it was coming straight for us. We didn't let it get too close before we decided to move.
Posting a pic of an attempted bear den along the trail we used to use to launch the boat. It's been there for years. Doesnt' look like it was ever really used. There is lots of evidence of bears being around there. recently the beavers made a mess of our trail. grrrrrr gonna have to start trapping. lol
