Mono..10 pound Trilene

love it...no complaints..for open water and pan fish

Braided...20 pound Power Pro..Love it no complaints..use it for flipping , pitching and all structure fishing..WILL NOT BREAK when using the palomar knot...on freshwater fish[8D]

10lbmono is on my bass rods 8lb mono for my waleye rods and braided on the muskie set ups ranging different lbs for different rod uses

IMO mono is better that braided in a bait caster its alot more easy to get knots out braided always seems to pull tight

depends.

spinning- trilene XL mono.

casting- cortland and powerpro for bass and musky. occasionally uses fluorocarbon for bass. if you buy power pro dont git the red. for some reason the stuff jus sucks

I tend to agree..when braid backlashes..you are trouble..
#1. you just wasted alot of money
#2.you have to cut it off.

THEREFORE; my backcasters run a micro tad tight..My Revo still cast plenty long enough so I'm fine..

Most of my bass rods are open face..they never backlash .Power Pro cast a mile on the spinning reels..I always tie braid with a Palomar..I don't know why but the Trilene knot will not hold...even on light hang ups but I've had small dinks break Power Pro on the Trilene Knot..yet pull up logs on the Palomar
