Most of my bass rods are open face..they never backlash .Power Pro cast a mile on the spinning reels..I always tie braid with a Palomar..I don't know why but the Trilene knot will not hold...even on light hang ups but I've had small dinks break Power Pro on the Trilene Knot..yet pull up logs on the Palomar
