You are right about that Lanse. When my father was alive I asked him if he wanted to come over for a fish fry. He said yes so I went out and caught some lake trout, salmon and a few walleyes. I fillet them all, cut into chunks rolled in the seasoned flour and fried them. He liked the lakers best, salmon second and walleye third. I told him his taste buds were shot and finished up all the wallys. This summer I have had a few fish frys and the easiest thing to catch for me is small mouth bass. I don't use the large ones but when I want a fry I get a bunch of 15 inch fish, fillet them and deep fry right on the beach. Pretty tasty. The only time I kill a bass is when I am having a fry and don't have the time to find some white perch.

If you catch another 10 pound drum, trynig cutting him into steaks and cooking it in sauce piaquante. They are even better in some sort of sauce than they are fried.

Boy you are right on with that one Reb. Hmmmmm Drum or cod.....I guess I'll take the salted cod. I never had it in a tomato sauce just a garlicwhite sauce. Speaking of food reminds me that happy hour has arrived and it is time to fire up the grill.

Looks great Reb. The grill didn't get fired and we made a tomato sauce out of the fresh ones in the garden with all the oregano, basil, garlic, onions and pepper coming from the herb garden. Mary is sautéing the chicken in wine and olive oil and we stuffed a bunch of our peppers for the freezer so we will have a few of our stuffed peppers with the chicken. The bread is in the oven and Mary is calling so I gotta go. Chow.

See we are a lot a like even though we live at opposite ends of the eastern seaboard. Some Italian, some Mexican (My wonderful SIL), married to a Mary and a love of food. It was gooooooooood. Chicken with stuffed peppers (the long things) all in a fresh Italian garden sauce.
