Nice Bass!!!!

Well, Sunday afternoon my buddy and I found oursevles at his uncles farm doing a little fishing and I managed to catch my biggest bass to date....now for a little background info.
Around 9 years ago or so my best-friend and I found out that the tree nursury beside my house was being bought out and the land was going to be used to build a maximum security prison. There were several ponds on the property that had some bass in them and they were about to be drained and filled in with dirt. My buddy and I grabbed a bucket and went to catch some bluegills to eat. When we got there we started catching alot of very small bass, probablly 4-5 inches. Well, we decided that we were going to keep some of them and take them to his uncles farm and release them in his pond as it only had bluegills in it.
Fast-forward 9 years and with a steady diet of bluegills and bullfrogs, these bass have got pretty darn big. This ol' girl was laying under a dock surrounded by tons of fingerlings and a well placed cast of a plastic lizard really made her mad. She smacked the lizard and the fight was on. I was using a 4'6" UltraLight Quantim Torsion trout rod with 4# Berkley Fireline. After a fun fight I pulled her out of the water, got two pictures, and placed her back in the water to fight another day. It was a gorgeous day with 3 of us pulling out about a dozen bass each, and each of us catching our best bass to date.

Thanks guys, it was a blast and it is nice to see the results of our efforts. I can't wait to get out there with a black jitterbug at about mid-night within the next month or so.
Here is my best-friend with his biggest from Sunday, also his biggest ever...

Not sure how much they weighed, or exactly how long they were. We didn't take a scale or tape measure, really didn't expect to catch these guys
I know that next time we are out, we will have my Berkley digital scale and a tape, thats for sure. I would have liked to seen these fish before the spawning was done
