Largemouth Hype?

ds 37, Yup, Boring! I've caught several on bass tackle between 40 and 47 1/2 inches. My biggest was on a 6 " rubber worm with 10 lb test. Give me bass anyday. Give me a plain day on the lake or even better...an open bass tournament to put my wits against the fish and others anglers. I LOVE it!

could it be more states have bass than muskie or walleye?
We fish year round down here, and I've never seen those two fish. Don't even know what they look like, taste like etc. You'll find bass in all 50 states, maybe. Pike? never seen one, muskie, walleye? ain't seen 'em either!
Speaking of bass... they are about to go on bed just south of palatka, Fl. were talking about catching ten pounders all day until your arms wear out! That's one reason it's called the Bass fishing capital of the world!
note to self, get boat ready and fix the flat tires.

What if the "Hokey Pokey" really is what it's all about?

Why does everyone love bass fishin? By reading this, it is plain to see why everyone doesn't understand the thrill of large mouth bass fishing. It is not only the thrill of the fight, it has to do with everthing else that goes into it. Why are the bass hittin' on my buddies white spinner bait and not my purple spinnter bait? Or why are they biting on his plum colored worm and not on my plum colored worm which is identical to his? You have to include all this stuff in the fun fellas. Bass are hard to figure out most of the time unless they are spawning in the shallows in the Spring time. It's all in the weather pattern, the choice or bait and the presentation. Putting all these together on any given day is what will make you a successful fisherman. Alot of fishermen thrive to meet these expectations. You actually have to use your brain to fish for largemouth bass.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Johnny, Bass are'nt hard(most of the time) I nearly always limit in a tournament. What is hard is getting a GOOD tournament limit. That is the challenge I love.
