That red baitcaster is a decently old reel correct? I have one that looks an awful lot like it. Doe yours have the spool release on the edge of the reel instead of a thumb bar?

You are correct! I bought that ABU 5000in 1985 when TG&Y went out of business, for $24.95 marked down closing sale.

Hey Guys, there is a shop here that has an ABU 5600 C4 Purple thatsay's Special Editionfor $89.95. Has anyone seen one of these? I had checked with the ABU Garcia web site and it does not show!

OK, I'm recharging the camera battery! I went and bought it today!It's a 6500 C4 and it says Special Edition, it's Purple.As soon as the battery is charged on the camera, I'll post pictures.

i used to have a quantam 1310mg???? looked just like the onepictured(the gold reel) , but at the time i wasn't buying any of my tackle or rods, but they are a jam up reel. also i know the pinnacle is also, i have a couple of friends that fish nothing but pinnacle, and they swear by them...

BTW. i hope you noticed, evenone of my custom rods has a 4600-c3 on it, one day you'll catch on

MT yesterday..just because of you I fished exclusevely the Garcia in the picture...I was not impressed. I could nevr whip it like my Quantum..if I did I'd get a backlash. If you tighten up the drag nut too hard it effects the smoothness of the reel reeling in. The Garcia is all you man....

Yesterday I thought I was tieing my Rooster Tail on my spinning rod..it wasn't It was on my 7 foot Med.Heavy Team Diawa with my 6.2 ration Pinnacle. baitcaster...I've never had a baitcaster fish a Rooster Tail properly. I thoiught what the heck I'll try it out.WOW!! Smooth as molasses and the willow bladed turned no matter how slow I retrieved it.I was shocked.
