Im not disapointed in my boat, more my ability to fish out of it. I was just mad last night since it was my first tourny and i was hoping to at least catch some fish to weigh in, and the wind was to blowing me the wrong way..

Most of time I use the wind in my favor my friend...I use itto drift with..

You may need 2 anchors to keep it still on a very windy day..if you want to anchor and cast

You can also drift with anchors just off the bottom to just slow the boat down if you wantto drift slowly to pitch

I generally check the weather first and fish the lake accoringly.

Example...today it's blowing here 9 MPH from the norht east.
Mornings are less windy most of the time before the sun and heat causes change.So..I'll fish the south part of my area first and thenorth part as the wind picks up.

i have a 20' glass boat and still there are times i cant fish the open water,,BTW forgot to mention if you put in at macfarland and the wind is up, go up the barge canal and fish around the lock, i have always been able to pick up a fish or two up thru therefish the right hand wall of the lock, and the rocks out in front, it easy and safe to run up thru there, also i'm gonna get my pickwick map out this week and we'll find you some places to catch some fish, in the meantime remeber they call it fishing and not catching, but we'll see if we can't turn that around

one last thing, you need to be checking with some folks about fishing in late sept/oct with yellow tails, you'll need acast net and a round tank to keep them alive, for whatever reason they don't do well in square tanks or a livewell[&:], but that and the top water bite in the fall are awesome, more later
