Default Depth Finder

Well, I went for years without one. I bought one from Cabelas which only works 10% of the time...I do like them alot..
Questions before I buy my next one..

1. What brand do you have?

2. Cost?

3. Can I clamp it to the bottom of my trolling motort? I won't drill any holes in my boat.

4. How long have you had yours?

Thanks,
Chuck7

I have two on my bass boat and the one up front runs off the trolling motor. Both are Humminbirds and seem to work well. I use them mostly to look for structure rather than fish.

Vexilar FL-8, I have 3 of them. One on my boat and 2 we take ice fishing. Got my first one about 15+ years ago. Works awsome and yes you can clamp it to the trolling motor, have to build a bracket though. Cant buy the fl-8 anymor but you can pick one up on ebay for probly 100$ bill.

Even tho i dont have a boat right now i bought a small Eagle 110?( i think thats the brand& model) a few mths ago( back in casper)..

It was only $15 marked down ( normaly$75) atwalmat -so i had to get it

Came with a free water temp guage to...but i havent tryed it out yet either.

My boat i no longer have had a depth guage/ fish finder i putt on it( eagle brand to i think)( i did drill holes in my boat)- but that was 17 or so yrs ago& they have prob changed some since then?

But You see buying a fish/depth finder also gives me a reason to buy a newboat
