MT..I like your idea about photographing the bass with a digital scales..I do have one.Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't .For big fish it seems to work well. From here out I'll be using that..Hopefully I can get 2 fish 5 poumds of bigger. I do calibrate my scales and both are right on the ounce. The digital would help me alot when fishing by myself.

Hope we all get a wall hanger this year..

I'm also taking Josh's advice..I went out and bought me 2 packs of big worms today.

hey chuck i had an old fenwich electric scale and i was very unhappy with it, you could weigh a 4# fish take it of zero the scale and the fish could weigh from 3.5 - 5#'s they were junk, these little scales, bought at BPS, made by berkley seem to be fairly close, we weighed five fish in that the cumlitive weight on the scale showed 17#1oz, on the tournament scales they weight 17#4oz, so the may read an 3 ounces light on 17#'sbut from otherscales i have had so far i am pleased...and who's to say the tournament scales were not off that far

i also realized i need to put the time stamp back on my digital camera[:@][:-][&o]

We used to sell a ton of stuff on ebay and had to calulate the postage. ..so we have to make sure our scales are accurate. I know some of the pictures can do both..make big fish look small and a small fish look big. Example..Buudmac's bass does not look 3 pounds but trust me it is..This is why I plan to photograph the weight. as you did. What Ii do to calibrate them is use 1 pound soup cans , 5 pound bag of sugar and a couple more exact weights and then test them on scales...so far they've all been right on . When I first got my digital scale sometimes it would not come on...that is why I bought a mechanical. After seeing your Berkley in your wife's fish I decided to get my digital it out of my storage tackle box and try it again. It worked great. Ihooked it to a 5 pound bag of flour...It registered 5 poundsI'll bring my other scale as a back up...

PS PLus I honestly know if I cheat by one ounce that God will discipline me for it."A false weight is an abomination in the sight of the Lord."

Another nice fish Mrs. Smith..you have an awesome guide there. I've been guding my son too. Many times Matt has struck out and has started not like fishing.I bought him some shiners today...he's hooked..LOTS of action. We were out of shiners by 10:00 Half of us his 13 were shiner fish including his big one. Tomorrow I will not use any at all. I plan to Chatter, spin, and cast..fish are off the beds..Matt will cast and drift shiners..What ever joins us both together is good for me.He can use all the shiners he wants..

Again, congrats Mrs. Smith for a nice fish..Mine was only about 2 1/2 today..didn't even weigh it.

God bless you both.

MTHands..

Matt lost a good one too. I could tell by his face expression. He was trying to set the hook on a worm..said" It felt like I was hooked ot a telephone pole with fins." I've had that happen a couple times myself. Hang in their partner..That was me last year..I thought I was under a curse.
God bless tomorrow brother,
I just did some repairs on my trolling motor and seat.
