Thanks Chuck, The surface temp. has finally warmed up to the high 50's up here in IL so the fishing should start picking up. Hopefully that bass I caught yesterday won't be the one that wins it for the north. I caught 2 over 7 pounds from this lake last year. However, you know how that goes, now that I'm in this contest that fish will be my biggest all year. Good fishing to you.

Nice fish goherd1111, we are still ice covered everywhere right now so it will still be a while up here. I will try the lake trout again this afternoon if the weather holds out. It is supposed to hit 50 degrees today and still have 2and 1/2 feet of ice. It will not belong now and the ice should be leaving some lakes around the middle of April others around the end of April, congrats to you.
