Scott fly rods
So, has anyone ever heard of or could give any reccomendations on a scott fly rod. I am now considering one of those. I hear they are made in my home state of colorado, montrose to be exact. EJ

RE: Scott fly rods
I have only used one Scott, or should I say a custom rod made with a Scott blank. The blank was the best they made and I think the rod they make with it goes for around $600, lot of cash.
It was a 9ft 5wt, I used it nymph fishing for trout. It casted like it should have and had a vary good feel. I didnt throw all that much line with it but it seemed to handle heavy flies well.
I dont know any of the models they have but I know Cabelas has a good selection.
I know they more expensive ones are made in USA, but like alot of rods I think the cheep ones are made somewere else, but I am not 100% sure.

Actually, they are all made in montrose colorado. I feel a duty to support colorado, at this moment anyway. Who knows, washington state may get my scrawny money yet. EJ
