shimano curado, shimano curado, shimano curado. buy it once for $119, and save yourself money over time.

thats a good reel, but most dont want to spend 120 bucks on a reel. the most expensive reels ive purchased were daiwa pro caster-x 153i's I payed over $140 a piece for them, after about 2 years i was changing out line guide pawls and after about 5 years I was changing out bearings and gears. My oldest abu garcia reel is going its 11th year and has been through 100 times more abuse then those daiwas, and i have never had to replace any parts on it and it performs just as good as it did the day I bought it.

Shimano Corvalus.. about $80 good reel for the price

my favorite is the Pflueger trion 66 ($70). i use it for musky fishing. Comes in large spool or small. Can't go wrong.

give Pflueger a look, i would bet you would be happy with their reels. Head and shoulders better then the abu's and the same price. I have a bunch of abu's and they are not in the same leaque.

Then get one off ebay for $70, or a Citica for $30. Both are basically the same reel, only the citica doesnt have as many bearings. These reels will last a lifetime.. The japanese reel makers know their stuff!

my favs are the quantums and garcias best reels on the market for the dollar. I use a garcia 5500 and quantum heat. If I had to pick from the two it would be the garcia only because I can use heavier line with the garcia.

Yeah, i broke down and bought a Pflueger Prez. Its smooth. but its also a higher end model they make. in the 80 dollars and under class, Abu Garcia presides over all. they're long lasting and smooth. my dad still has a Ambassadeur 5000 from 1968 that still works awesome. anyone who says a Abu isn't in the same league as a pflueger in the same range is on crack and probably doesn't fish a whole lot.

slayer

ps-yeah, i had to be that blunt. for saying something that retarded, it deserves outright bluntness.

I would buy pflueger. I love the spinners and the baitcasters.
