Mine would have to be the 250 Savage, or maybe it's big brother the 257 Roberts. Very accurate, plenty powerful enough for any deer, and to top it off LOW recoil. Don't hurt that most seem to be in classic firearms. 'Course now, there ain't no flys on the 270

Definately .270 Weatherby Mag... Fast Flat Carries energy. Shot my first deer with a .270 Win model 760 when I was 10. I'll never be without a .270

My M700 in .308 win or if I had to choose a long action then Id take My sporterised Springfield 03-A3 in 30-06.

7mm-08 for short range and 25-06 for long range. Sorry I know that's two but I can't help it. Love them both. Mild recoil, joy to shoot and death on whitetails which are the only big game animals I hunt with a rifle.
