I am looking at buying a new shotgun and really wanted a SBE but they are way too much $. I found the Nova for sale for 350. Much more reasonable. Is the nova a gun I can beat on and reliable? I shoot about 2000 rounds a year.

IMO anything with the Benelli name on it can be trusted to be relieable. Of course I do own a Nova and Love IT! I would recomend it. However I can not say that I have shot 2000 rounds thru it since I bought it 2 1/2 years ago. I have every reason to beleave it will stand up to such use.
Tom Knapp Benelli's spokesman and trick shooter shots alot of rounds and I had the oppertunity at a show he but on thru a gun dealer near where I live to inspect his nova and other shot guns and I tell you what. they were rode hard and put away wet if you know what I mean. the guns where dirty and one of the staff members said they seldom get cleaned and if they do they are hung up and sprayed with brake free and left to drip.......... so take that for what it is worth I guess

I love mine, I mainly use it for waterfowl but I shoot the premium 3.5" shells all the time and it has not failed me yet. I have had it for a few years now but I have not shot 2000 rounds but I don't see why it wouldn't. It is about the most rust free gun you can get the stock and reciever are a one piece glass reinforced polymer and the reciever has a steel insert. Very good design and well built. I clean mine about once a year and I beat on it waterfowl hunting.

I loved mine and thought it was about as good as it gets ! But I bought a SBE and it really is awesome ! The Nova is hard to beat though........especially for the money (I haven't shot anything that compares for that price range) !

I have a Nova.....I think one of the, if not the best pump gun out there. It is very reliable. Cheap too. You get High quality for a low price. Any Benelli Gun yo get is going ot be Great.....

I love mine as well, I have had it for about three years now and it is still in mint condition, I probably have fired close to if not more than 2,000 rounds. For the price you can't go wrong, I have hunted the frozen snow covered ground for geese, ducks, pheasants, dropped it in the river while floating for ducks, and it still performs like the first time I fired it. You won't be disappointed. If you are not stuck on it look at a Rem. 870 Wingmaster, older model you can find them almost new for the same price. I feel both guns are equal.
