Default Rossi Single Shot

Has anyone had any experience good bad or otherwise with the rossi single shots? I was looking at one of their sets for my son, but they look a little cheap and I don't want to get something that won't last or shoot well.

I got a rossi .410 and 22 lr combo for my nephew. It is a really good gun for somebody his size. The only thing i didn't like about it is all it has for a sight on the .410 is the bb on the end of the barrel wich works great for shot, but when shooting slugs through it they grouped really low. It would have been nice to have some sort of adjustable sight or scope on it just something that you could have sighted it in with and not have to have him hold the gun high every time he was shooting. hope this helps.

I bought my 8 year old a Rossi Matched Pair 20ga/243. Mounted a little 4X tasco on the 243 barrel. Shoots good enough. He will be using it for deer hunting next weekend. He has already shoot at dove and squirrl (sp). For the money it cant be beat for a kids first real gun. I can even get other barrels. I may by a Rossi rifle for myself as a handi gun to keep in my truck. Maybe a 7/08 or something.

Picked one up for my boys to learn with, .22/20ga. Like you state not a real pretty gun but a simple single shot. I think in one or 2 years they will move past it though. My 11 year old has moved up to a browing level action in a .357 with open sights for pigs etc. and he now uses a rem model 7 in a .260. My 7 year old still preffers the rossi.

I also get lots us use out of it, put a laser pointer on it and use it at night for Armadillos in my yard, a 22 short hits just hard enough and does not scare everyone. I am outside city limits.

got a rossi 22/.410 for the daughter, she hasnt used it yet, but I shot it, it seems like for the money (got it on sale at Dick's for $110) you cant beat it.
