Rossi .243 single shot HB- Trigger job?
Need some help here.
Just purchased a .243 Rossi single shot heavy barrel for a heavier caliber predator rifle( $219.00 NIB). Shot it today at the range for the first time. Decent groups with Remington factory ammo, around 1" - give or take a bit at 100yds although I kept getting a flyer with most shot strings. My handloaded ammo shot well with 70 grain Blitzkings and 58 grain V-Max's.
The trigger however is horrible!!! Enough creep and time to shave and get a haircut!
I would like to know if there are plans or instructions on Rossi trigger jobs.
Also, does this require a gunsmith? H&R plans are on the net.
I appreciate any info you may have.
Thanks.

If you are not inimately familier with the inner workings of firearms in general, and rossi in paticular,PLEASE take it to gunsmith. It is awfully easy to botch a job,and end up having to take it to gunsmith anyway.
That having been said, the rossi can be made to have excellent trigger pull. Overtravel and takeup are a WHOLE different story. That's where it gets a lot more "involved".

Thanks for the FYI stalkingbear. I'm going to take it to my local gunsmith who has been doing my rifle work.
He's very good and has an excellent reputation.
Hopefully, he can take the travel/creep out of it and get me to 3lbs or so.
