The SBE II weighs 7lbs 5oz, the Gold 7lbs 10oz, Franchi 912 7lbs 11oz, Xtrema 7lbs 13oz, SX2 8lbs. All with 28" barrels. Both the Xtrema and 912 are big feeling guns. The Gold and SX2 feel like most 3" models (size wise). The SBE/SBE II have a lighter feel than the other 3 1/2" models. I guess if the Gold feels like fence post. The Xtrema must feel like a red wood.

Don't know where you live. Saw a used Beneli SBE not sure if it was a I or II camo shortbarrell at Mack's Prairie Wings last Thursday. Had a little minor surface rust if I recall. $700 I believe was their price but I wasn't looking to buy so don't qoute me on that. Mack's is down in Stutgart AR so it was probably used quite a bit. You may want to ask them about the barrell condition or even who they got it from and why he got rid of it. They do have trouble with the lighter loads cycling. I'm still shooting doubles in the field but may end up with a semi one day, I like they way the Berrettas feel. Never had trouble with my 870 for Turkey and I shoot 3'' standard Winchester Supremes in 6's. If you gotta shoot twice you already messed up. Farthest kill 47 good paces. Good luck on those bunnies I bet they are hard to hit, may even need a lighter weight 20 to increase your speed on the swing.
