I finally got my shotgun. It is a Benelli Nova. I hope that i will be able to get me a turkey next month with it. If you own one, what choke works well in it. I know each gun is different, but what is all your experience with it

Congrats smooth on your new shotgun. Benelli is one of the best!! As far as chokes go, there are a bunch out there. Are you restricted to using non-toxic shot? If not, I'd suggest 3" magnum #4 shotshells. Now not every brand is going to shoot the same in your gun. So your next step is getting your choke tube. Some shotshells shoot tighter groups with a standard full choke tube that came with your gun. So I'd buy several brands of shotshells and head to the range with your full tube in. Pattern it using "patterning targets" or "turkey target" like the one below. You want as many pellets in the kill zone as possible. Use a different (fresh) target for each load you shoot. Since most shots are best taken at 40 yards or less, that's where I'd start, 40 yards. If you find a load that shoots well and hits where you want it, then you're set. If you'd like to tighten up that pattern some, try any of the the "extra-full" or "turkey" chokes on the market. Pick one and go back to the range, still shooting all the shells you have until you find one that groups really tight and puts the most shot in the kill zone. If you're still having problems getting alot of shot into the kill zone, shorten your range 5 yards at a time until you can, then you need to limit yourself to those ranges on live birds. (makes it more challenging anyway). Once you do that, you've got the right combo of load and choke for the task
